Creativity is something not limited to some certain class, certain age or certain people. What really matter is its uniqueness.
Meet Mayhem, a four year old girl, who is fast becoming popular as she designs paper version of celebrities dress.
This incredibly adorable little four-year-old girl re-created designer dresses made out of tissue paper, various arts and crafts supplies and clear tape.
Maybe you remember the phenom fashion lover from her pre- Met Gala partnership with Vogue when she expertly re-created a few iconic gowns from the extravaganza— like 5Sarah Jessica Parker’s tartan Alexander McQueen and Rihanna’s futuristic Dolce and Gabbanatuxedo.
“And just to clear up any misconceptions beforehand, Mayhem isn’t just adorably modeling paper gowns that her mother forced her dress up in—the four-year-old makes the dresses herself.”
Her mom actually serves as as a sort of design assistant, handing her daughter tape and supplies when needed.
As a matter of fact, Mayhem—clad in a mind-blowingly impeccable tissue paper version of a floral-embellished and peplumed Monique Lhuillier piece that just walked the runway—quickly whipped up a dress in the Samsung Galaxy Backstage Lounge for an awestruck audience in a matter of minutes. But her runway creations take a tad longer.
“Like about an hour,” Mayhem shrugged.
Mayhem found herself a Fashion Week VIP this week, attending the hot ticket Reem Acra show and finding inspiration from more spring collections, including, Trina Turk. Her favorite look so far: a salmon pink and crystal striped Reem Acra dress, which she also re-created. She must travel with a lot of art supplies.
So considering her industriousness, Mayhem and her family must have a lot of paper dress.?
“I put them on and take pictures.” says Mayhem. And, sometime, I hulk out my paper dresses, when I don’t like them.
I believe four years old Mayhem will be the hottest designer in the years to come.
